Many Americans have already formed a special bond with this dynamic duo and what started as the perfect love story continues on through a spirit of giving as LaDonna and Darnell form their first non-profit organization, The Suggs Foundation, Inc.

The Suggs Foundation, Incorporated is a non-profit organization founded by Darnell and LaDonna Suggs, the winners of NBC’s TODAY Show Throws a Wedding reality series Race to the Altar.

Its mission is threefold;

To encourage young adults to pursue careers in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields, alleviate the complexities of making critical life transitions, and promote civic responsibility, environmental protection and community activism.
The Suggs Foundation, Inc. has developed three primary focus targets to accomplish what they have coined as “Suggs-Cess.”

1. STEM:: Increase the number of Americans who pursue careers in the STEM fields and promote the professional possibilities therein.

2. Transitions:: Alleviate the difficulty experienced by many young people in making critical transitions in academics, the work force and relationships; (specifically, the transitions between high school and college, college and the work force and dating and marriage)

3. Service:: Promote civic and environmental responsibility and community activism/involvement

Realizing the impact that one person can have and recognizing the opportunity that they have been afforded, the Suggs have decided to use their celebrity as a platform to share their passions. Through public speaking, charitable events, fundraisers and receipt of public & private donations the Suggs Foundation will strive to give a voice to academic and professional issues that affect our society, and strengthen the fabric of our country.  Millions shared in their “Race to the Altar” and they are inviting you to join them in a new race…the Race for Change.
